Joe Szynkowski is a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) and the founder of The UpWrite Group, a communications and career strategy firm he has run since 2008. He spent five years as the first full-time writing hire at Talent Inc. (later Career.io), the world's largest resume and CV writing company, serving as Brand Lead and Executive Partner for a network of 150+ job sites across the US, Europe, Africa, and Australia. Over nearly 20 years, Joe has helped more than 2,000 professionals strengthen their resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and career trajectories, and has positioned dozens of founders and C-suite leaders for board appointments and national recognition. His work has earned 200+ media placements in outlets including TIME, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and Bloomberg. A former newspaper copy editor, he writes a career happiness column for The Southern Illinoisan and serves on the External Advisory Board of Southern Illinois University's School of Management and Marketing.
